Chaney Allen Perinatal/ Postpartum Services

A woman may not be admitted if:
       • She is going through detoxification.
       • She is actively suicidal.
       • She has medical needs that exceed facility capabilities.

The Chaney Allen Perinatal/Postpartum women’s programs are designed to provide outpatient and/or residential treatment for women with addictions and who are pregnant, have recently given birth, experienced a miscarriage, or had an abortion. Like the general Chaney Allen program, services are focused on treating women and their unique needs including pregnancy, grief, loss, parenting, and relationships. Our intake process is expedited for women who are pregnant. Chaney Allen’s Perinatal/Postpartum programs work with many community agencies to ensure each woman has needed resources. We have collaborative relationships with Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services (JFS); Hamilton County Justice Center; University of Cincinnati Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES); Central Community Health Board (CCHB); Off The Streets; Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services; First Step Home; and Anna Louise Inn, as well as many others.

Admission Criteria
The individual must be pregnant or have given birth, experienced a miscarriage or had an abortion and suffers from an addiction disorder.

***Pregnant women will be given priority.***
